Oven-baked, Parmesan-crusted Shaggy Manes

 

This is a really fun and delicious way to eat shaggy manes! You can bake them in the oven, as described below, but they can also be fried in an air fryer or pan fried on the stove, whichever you prefer. When you’re preparing the nuggets remember to keep one hand for dipping in the (wet) egg bowl and the other hand for dipping in the (dry) flour and bread crumb bowls. It will be a lot less messy and your fingers won’t be caked in an inch of batter by the time you're done!

Clean each mushroom and slice in half if needed (check for bugs!)

Prepare the three bowls for dipping

Bread each mushroom until well coated
